How to Use Our Ring Sizer

Step 1

Cut out the Ring Sizer

Carefully cut along the outline of the printable ring sizer. Make a small slit where indicated so you can thread the pointed end through.

Step 2

Wrap around your finger

Slide the pointed end through the slit and gently wrap the sizer around the widest part of the intended finger, keeping the numbers facing out.

Step 3

Adjust for a snug fit

Pull until the ring sizer fits securely but comfortably. It should slide over your knuckle, but not feel too loose.

Step 4

Read your ring size

Note the number that aligns with the slit is your ring size. If you're between sizes, we recommend choosing the slightly larger one for comfort.

Ring sizing tips

  • Measure the correct finger on the correct hand: Your dominant hand is often slightly larger, so be sure to measure the exact finger where the ring will be worn.
  • Band width affects fit: Rings with wider bands may feel tighter. If you’re measuring an existing ring, choose one with a similar width to the style you're planning to purchase.
  • Measure at normal body temperature: Fingers can expand in heat and shrink when cold, so avoid measuring if your hands are unusually warm or cool.
  • Timing matters: Your fingers naturally fluctuate throughout the day. The most accurate time to measure is in the evening, when your fingers are at their largest.
  • Have a prominent knuckle? Take two measurements — one at the knuckle and one below it — then choose a size in between for the best fit.
  • When in doubt, size up slightly: A ring that's too tight can be uncomfortable, while a slightly larger ring can be resized more easily. This is especially helpful in warmer climates where fingers may swell.
